Shops
On your way through towns and villages you will find different types of merchants and vendors. Here, you can buy new weapons and armor, but also food and tools. Shops are also a way to get rid of your various goods you stacked up in your inventory. Shops are usually villagers with custom trades, but sometimes shops don't work with villagers, but instead with buttons. The second type of shop is often used for buying stuff from special points from dungeons, or point rewards from tasks.
Buying
To buy items from a villager vendor you open the trading window by richtclicking the villager. Then you can browse through the trades he has to offer and choose one or items which you want to buy. Give the villager the amount of money or special coins they want and drag the item from the trading window to your inventory. Your trade is now complete.
Selling
Selling items to villagers is similar to buying only now you input the items and get money from the output window. The money value is in every shop the same so you can never get duped.
Types of vendors
There are several types of vendors, which most of the time have both a buyer and a seller. The different types of vendors are mainly:
- General supplier: Sells general stuff like food, tools and materials. Buys most general stuff like rotten flesh, bones etc.
- Weapon vendor: Sells swords, bows and arrows. Buys only arrows.
- Armor vendor: Sells all kinds of armor. Buys your old armor for a small amount of cash, regardless of stats and enchants.
- Food vendor: Sells all food. Trades poisonous potatoes for healthy ones and buys raw food from you.
- Potion vendor: Sells most potions like healing potions. Buys empty glass bottles.
- Skill vendor: Sells skill related stuff. Example: A woodcutting skill vendor sells axes, and buys wood.
